    First Buggy

so i finally got my first buddy. a Team C Evo 2. I'm setting it up for Stock 2WD. My problem is the fan on my ESC (TrackStar 80a) is too tall and won`t allow the body to sit flush on the left side of the car. Previous owner has velcro on the chassis and the body to attach it. Body won`t even come close to sticking.

    not enough!
    Brand
    Losi/vattera
    Radio

I had a similar issue with my losi 22 buggy.
I was using a LRP sxx sized esc with a fan on the heat sink.
the esc could only really go in one place above the battery.
it was a very narrow chassis. What I did was because the esc was where the "driver" would sit if it where a 1:1 buggy
is cut a square hole in the roof so the fan was popping out a little. This also had the effect of letting in ambiance fresh air to be blown right onto the heat sink or the heated air in the buggy would be blown out of the roof. I always try, especially in tight fitting closed buggies to get some in and out ventilation for the esc.
    I buy, I build,
    I race a little,
    I'm in thearapy

LOL, thanks but too late. I've already pulled that motor esc out and put it into a SCT and now swapping in an esc motor combo that has no fan on the esc.... Good advice for next time tho thanks .

Can't you just take the fan off of the ESC?

I could have bean, but since it was a new esc I didn`t really want to do that especially since I had others with no fan already. As for racing at SPARC`s JP, at a 2 hour drive to get there I think I`d have to get up too early in the morning for me. But you never know....
