    what happened

what happened to on road RC.? seems like overnight it was gone. at my local store nothing but RTR "consumer" brand off road cars. have people changed so much that setting up a basic parking lot track is to much?. you can even get tires that don't need the track to be sprayed. also i don't see kits as much are people no longer creative enough to solder and put in some screws?. lets make this a hobby again. i wanted to get some 1/8th gt racing going around the windsor area but when you bring it up peoples eyes sort of glass over. might as well give up and get a helicopter. guess i just miss the old days.

For me as a beginner at my track nobody ran mini. Slowest cars were USGT and VTA which are basically the same car just different bodies and tires and way to fast for a noob. I got tired of fixing the cars all the time from hitting the walls and got out of it.

I can understand that I was afraid of how much fixing I would do just watching.

The group that use to race in the home depot parking lot looked like a lot of fun, and did not seem to have the same speed, I was working on getting a car when it stopped, which I understand a lot of work and time went into setting the track up.

I see a lot of Cars and trucks leaving the local hobby shops and wonder where people are using them, would like to find a good place to just bash. My current schedule prevents me from doing any racing.

Bashing is bigger than ever, organized racing is still alive but not in London, that will change before too long.

i guess my original idea was too scare up some outdoor on road in the area. having run a serpent cobra gt (nitro) i found a more affordable and fun class. after a bit of time i had too face the fact that off road rules. so since the I75 detour puts the toledo trip on hold the GT sits and i try 1/10 buggy. would love to race at action but it would have too be on the weekend. still would like to get some fun runs in at a local parking lot.
